An Arcata fire chief gives a life-saving award to a courageous bystander, Kenny Eisner, the VP of Operations at Humboldt Sanitation is now known as a local hero, after performing CPR on a complete stranger before paramedics could arrive.

The quick actions by the people of Humboldt Sanitation definitely helped saved this man’s life. And crews with the fire department tell us it’s a lesson in the importance of being CPR certified. Arcata Fire offers classes the fourth Thursday and Saturday of every month.
