Crescent City K-9 Django sniffs out methamphetamine

Crescent City, Ca., (KIEM)- The Crescent City K-9 unit has done it again! This time, a man has been busted with an active arrest warrant is found in possession of nearly a gram of methamphetamine and a rifle.

What started as a traffic stop Saturday, turned into a drug bust.  Just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday a green Dodge Ram was stopped outside a pawn shop. The driver had a warrant out for his arrest, so K-9 officer Django was deployed to perform what deputies call an open air sniff. The deputy would find ammunition and drugs in the door of the pick-up truck.
Now, the driver, Robert Freeman is behind bars.
