Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) An early morning rally shook up Old Town in Eureka Monday morning. Residents of Humboldt County protested outside of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection building.

The group of about 50 protesters came prepared with demands and signs. One resident showed up to the rally, purposely, holding his American Flag upside down. Corbin Solomon, holder of the flag, said he had good reason.

“The United States Flag flying upside down,” Solomon continues “If a nation or thee nation is in distress, if lives are at risk, and/or there is risk of personal injury.”

Solomon said he may upset some people but he stands firm on what he believes in.

The stand up to racism rally lasted two hours.
