Vegetation fire burning near Weitchpec

WEITCHPEC- Another suspicious vegetation fire breaks out near the town of Weitchpec. The fire was reported just after six Thursday evening near the intersection of State Routes 169 and 96.

A helicopter was released from the scene as ground crews continue to contain the two acre fire. It’s burning three miles east of several other fires that were brought under control Wednesday.

All of the fires are under investigation.
