SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) – The Klamathon Fire at the California-Oregon border continues to burn this week.
The fire has, so far, burned more than 36,500 acres and is 40% percent contained.
82 structures have been destroyed, three people have been injured, and one person has died.
Fire officials say firefighters are facing a challenging week ahead with high winds expected to kick in at every direction.
Evacuation orders, they say, will likely remain in place over the next few days.
Details on mandatory evacuations are available, here.
