Humboldt Ice Rink canceled for upcoming holiday season

FORTUNA, Calif. (KIEM) – The holiday’s season may look a little different in the Eel River Valley this year.

At this point, there will not be an ice rink in Fortuna.

The Humboldt Ice Rink committee announced the rink won’t be coming back for the 2018/2019 season as it has the past three years, because the committee can’t commit to running the rink and their other businesses.

However, they say the field is wide open for another individual or committee to take the reins, and they say they would help set it up.
