Second victim in Highway 101 shooting succumbs to injuries

WILLITS, Calif. (KIEM) – Another victim is dead following a fatal Highway 101 shooting.

Earlier this month on the second, a father and a son were shot in a car in the southbound traffic lanes of Highway 101, south of Golden Rule, in Willits.

The father, 51-year-old Calixto Ramirez, died on scene, and the son, 30-year-old Miguel Ramirez, was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, Miguel died of those injuries in the hospital.

The suspect’s been named as the father’s other son, 23-year-old Ubaldo Ramirez Davilla, who has been booked for homicide.

The family was from Covelo.
