City of Fortuna continues to seek city manager

Fortuna is still without a city manager, and that will be a topic of discussion at their next council meeting.

Council will continue to decide the best way to find the next City Manager, Merritt Perry is currently serving in the interim. He assumed the role after Mark Wheetley resigned in April.

At the meeting, council will also honor Ruben Rios who has served 17 years as a member of citizens on patrol.

Some of his duties for the police department include traffic control, vacation checks at homes and volunteering at school events. Monday’s meeting begins at six at Fortuna City Hall.
