Traffic Alert: sewer infrastructure repairs in Eureka begin Monday

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- Travelling near the Red Lion Hotel in Eureka may get tricky beginning Monday, Jul 16. Sewer infrastructure repairs are planned for the next seven days. Manholes will be replaced on V street between 3rd and 4th Streets. There will also be manhole replacements in the Red Lion Hotel parking lot. The construction is expected to impact traffic, with control on site and some diversion likely to occur. The work will be happening during the day, from 7 in the morning until 6 at night.

A statement from the city says, “The City of Eureka realizes that this disruption is an inconvenience, but repairing and maintaining our sewer
collection systems is vital to the health and safety of our residents.”
