Humboldt County receives $103,000 grant to address addiction

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- In the Humboldt County Board of Supervisor’s chambers, the board is expected to accept a $103,000 grant from the RX Safe Humboldt Coalition.
The RX Safe Humboldt Coalition received funding support from aegis treatment centers, for Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services.
This amount includes $80,000 for the support of a prevention specialist to work with high-risk populations. In Humboldt County, and link them to needed treatment, care and services. 23 thousand dollars are allotted for support of youth opioid and prescription misuse prevention activities.
