Eureka.,Ca- Joe Bonino is known by his peers as a man who “walks the talk”. Bonino has served as Eureka’s Planning Commissioner since 20-13, and prides himself as an environmentally conscious leader — saying that Eureka’s streets and sidewalk trails and bike paths need to be in top condition. As chair of the college of the redwoods bond oversight committee, he wants to make sure the city’s budget is spent on public safety first.

Running against Bonino is current council member Kim Bergel.
