Carr Fire reaches 48,312 acres, kills two

REDDING- The Carr fire in Shasta County is prompting a national response. The National Guard is assisting in Redding after a state of emergency is put into place by the governor on the over 48,312 acre and growing blaze.

One bulldozer operator, and A Redding firefighter were killed on the frontlines overnight, while attending to the fire that is shaking the northern part of the state.
