McClurg takes over Ferndale football program

FERNDALE- Ferndale High School football isn’t used to seeing leadership changes. Kim Jorgensen spent 26 years in charge before stepping down after the 2016 season. Then, longtime assistant Jeremy Griffith took over but after one year has stepped away.

So enter Clint McClurg. He was the boys varsity basketball coach last season and is a Eureka High graduate.

McClurg coached varsity football at Burney High School and takes over a Ferndale team that went 5 and 7 but reached the second round of the section playoffs.
