Suspect in McKinleyville auto-dealership burglary arrested

McKinleyville, Ca., (KIEM)- Apprehended after officers say he fled a McKinleyville car dealership on foot, 28-year-old Kevin Dial is in custody. The McKinleyville man is the primary suspect in an attempted burglary.

It happened August 3, just after 6:30 p.m.. Dial, deputies say, was inside the business when they arrived and tried to get away.

In the end, Dial was arrested, in possession of a stolen key fob for a vehicle in the front showroom. Officers also believe he’s responsible for about $8,000 worth of property damage at BMW of Humboldt Bay.

He’s booked at the Humboldt County Jail, with bail set at $50,000.
