Humboldt County to add Aviation department

Eureka – Changes are in store for Humboldt County’s skies as a brand new Aviation department is in development, and County Supervisors selected a candidate to take on the challenge.

They plan to appoint Cody Roggatz as the first ever director of Aviation during their August 21st meeting. He’s currently a transportation director for the City of Aberdeen in South Dakota.

Humboldt County’s Public Works Department currently has an aviation division that division is expanding to become its own department.

They will work closely with the Humboldt County airport. Roggatz is scheduled to begin his job on September 24th.
