Firefighter dies in Mendocino Complex Fire

MENDOCINO COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) – Cal Fire confirmed on their Twitter Page on Monday that the Mendocino Complex Fire has killed a firefighter from Utah.

The victim, an incident commander, was injured in the Ranch Fire on Monday evening. He was airlifted to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The identity of the victim is not yet being released pending family notification. We will continue to keep you updated as we receive more information.
