A suspect may be prosecuted for the murder of Josiah Lawson

ARCATA – A suspect may be prosecuted for the murder of HSU student David Josiah Lawson. The charges are expected to be filed in six to eight weeks.

It’s been more than a year since Lawson was fatally stabbed at a house party. Since then the community has rallied in search of justice.

Just this Wednesday, the Arcata City Council was forced to walk out of their session- postponing the meeting because of a demonstration.

In light of this storm of public outrage, Interim Arcata Police Chief Richard Ehle says he wants the public to know the department has a lot of resources on the case.
