Humboldt Bay Fire Crews fight Eureka house fire for 4 1/2 hours

Just after 10:00 p.m. Saturday night a single story house with an attic caught fire. Humboldt Bay Fire would send two engines, one truck, one squad and multiple officers to the scene.

All three people that were inside the house escaped before fire crews arrived, as smoke poured into the street. No one was injured, but the fire was difficult to control.

According to HBF, the amount of possessions in the home, and the fire’s spread to the loft kept it fed and raging. Taking two hours to control and 4 and a half hours to extinguish. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
