A playground for pups and tykes alike set to open in Eureka

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- A new place to play by the bay. The City of Eureka is proud to announce, in just a few days time, they’ll officially open a brand new playground and dog part at the foot of Del Norte Street.
The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28 at the Del Norte Pier facility. The playground includes nature themed climbing areas, one climbing toy is even shaped like a shark! The park will also feature ADA accessible swings. As for the puppy play area? there will now be a 2.4 acre community canine play area.

 

The money for the project comes from the 125-hundred dollar housing related parks program grant and a one time allocation from the general fun
