Guy Fieri on his experience helping fire victims

FERNDALE- On Thursday, we met with Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri, who opened up to us about his emotional experience cooking meals for victims of the CARR Fire.

Fieri tells us he was on vacation with his family when he received the devastating news. Fieri and his son flew back to get a crew together and within an hour and a half of landing in Redding, they started cooking. He says they cooked meals next to people who just lost their homes and it was a chilling experience.

He says it’s not just about losing the homes, it’s about losing the neighborhoods and the sense of community. Fieri adds that it wasn’t about the food, it was about the support, and that people going through devastating times should feel that people around them care.
