Labor Day safety precautions from PG&E

As Labor Day approaches, many travelers may head to our lakes and rivers, but PG&E urges those to take some water precautions.

The gas and electric company warns lake and river goers to steer clear of canals and flume walkways they also advise never swimming or boating alone, and to be aware of changes in water conditions. Here is a list with some of that advice:

– Keep children supervised and in a lifejacket
– Never jump or dive into unfamiliar water
– Be aware of rapid changed in water flows
– Recreating in canals and flumes is strictly prohibited
– Stay off of elevated flume and walkways
– Never swim or boat alone
