Meet the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office new K9

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has added a new hire to their team. He has four legs, a wet nose, and a mean bark.

K9 Deputy Gusto and his handler Deputy Max Soeth will be the newest duo around town. They will soon be headed to an extensive five week training to teach Gusto everything he needs to know about his job protecting the community. This including narcotics detection and fugitive apprehension.

Funding for Gusto’s training was donated from RE/MAX Humboldt County.
