Arcata business owner, 2 others arrested in large cocaine bust

 

EUREKA- A suspected narcotics dealer is one of three people behind bars apprehended by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.

Special agents arrested an Arcata resident and business owner, 40 year old Ariel Arguella-Sosa. They believe he is a narcotics dealer in Humboldt County. He was found inside a parked vehicle with his 20-year old associate, Abdiel Parras-Sosa when the two were arrested.

At the time, there was more than a quarter pound of suspected methamphetamine and 17 grams of suspected cocaine in the car.

Later, another warrant is served at a house on Cedar Drive in Arcata, where another of Sosa’s associates was also taken into custody. Miguel Angel Garcia was allegedly found with suspected cocaine, and a firearm. He is booked for possession of a controlled substance and firearm violations.

Ariel Arguelles-Sosa’s bail is set at $500,000.  More than $65,000, 4 ounces of heroin, 2 ounces of meth, and 3 pounds of cocaine are being connected to them by authorities.

For now, authorities are still investigating and ask anyone who may know more about the three who have been apprehended to call the task force tip line at 444-8095.
