CHP conducts Maximum Enforcement Period, Labor Day Weekend

California Highway Patrol will be out in full force for the busy holiday weekend. A maximum enforcement period starts tonight and lasts through Monday.

CHP will be looking out for impaired drivers, as well as assisting motorist in need.

Last year, 30 people were killed in California traffic collisions. Additionally, CHP made more than 1,000 DUI arrests.

CHP urges all drivers to drive sober, or get pulled over. Also asking the public to assist in removing danger from the roadways by calling 911 if you see or suspect an impaired driver.
