Protest after Marcia Kitchen turns herself in

Marcia Kitchen, who pleaded guilty two weeks ago, to causing the deaths of two teenage girls in 2016, is awaiting sentencing, from behind bars. Supporters of the victims gathered today, desperate for justice for the victims.

Kitchen surrendered her $750,000 bail and was booked into the Humboldt County jail yesterday. Kitchen pled guilty two weeks ago. To DUI, hit and run, and two counts of vehicular manslaughter. This, 770 days after killing two 14 year old girls, one of which was her daughter.

She now faces a maximum sentence of 11 years in state prison. Kitchen is scheduled for sentencing on September 18th.
