Del Norte County Supervisor calls for disbanding of Cannabis Group

CRESCENT CITY – A Del Norte County Supervisor calls for the disbanding of the Cannabis Working Group.

First District Supervisor Rodger Gitlin sent an email to Chairman Supervisor Chris Howard asking to place on the upcoming agenda a request to disband the Cannabis Working Group.

Howard told Redwood News Tuesday he is disappointed since the working group was approved unanimously by Supervisors.

Howard will allow Gitlin to speak on the matter at next Tuesday’s meeting, and ask for a majority vote to reconsider their unanimous decision.

The group researches issues and drafts ordinances for legal cannabis that is reviewed by County Council.
