Ferndale, Ca., (KIEM) The whole town took part in this year’s annual community yard sale in Ferndale. The biggest sale of its kind in the history of Humboldt County. Main Street was transformed into a huge bargain outlet where the city’s neighbors acted as a vendor or a buyer.
More than 100 different locations offer everything from antiques and collectibles, to household items and tools, to toys to clothing and more.
Resident, Marian Qualls, said she loves that her trash can become someone else’s treasure and shared money that she raised will be donated.
“I donate a lot to the schools, my granddaughter goes to Redwood Prep so I donate a lot to them,” said Qualls. “Because they need help, every school needs help, they all do. I know that our does.”
