Kitchen sentenced to 8 years in prison

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – Judge Kaleb Cockrum sentenced Marci Kitchen to 8 years for the deaths of her daughter Kiya Kitchen and her friend Faith Tsarnas. 

The decision was announced Tuesday afternoon at the Humboldt County Courthouse in front of a packed courtroom.
 
Kitchen’s Jeep struck the two teenagers who were skateboarding on Eel River Drive on the evening of July 12, 2016. 

Kitchen admitted guilt in August to DUI and hit-and-run causing death of two young girls, including her own daughter, Kiya Kitchen, and another teenager, Faith Tsarnas, in July of 2016.
