Eureka resident arrested on weapons charges

EUREKA – Acting on complaints of drug activity in a Eureka neighborhood, a convicted felon is arrested on weapons charges.

The Humboldt County Drug Task Force located 33-year old Frederick Lynn Fields Jr. leaving a residence on the 2100 block of Union Street, at 11:30 Wednesday morning.

According to Law enforcement, fields took out a handgun and threw it into the front yard of the home.

Fields was arrested and booked on charges of “Felon in Possession of a Stolen Firearm.”

The gun was reported stolen out of Southern California.

Agents also found additional ammunition, scales and narcotics packaging materials at the home.
