ARCATA, CA., (KIEM)- This weekend, young disciplinarians are getting ready to go head to head, battling to become the best salsa makers in the county. It’s the Humboldt County Office of Education’s Annual Salsa Competition. It allows children from eight local schools to work with chefs, learning about flavor and nutrition. Then, they present their products to the public on the Arcata Plaza (during the Saturday, October 13th Farmer’s Market). The winners will have their delicious dip on sale at Eureka Natural Foods later on this year.
