Two people die in Brookings, Oregon plane crash

BROOKINGS, OREGON (KIEM)- Two people are dead after a plane crash in southern Oregon.

According to Curry County Sheriff’s office, two Del Norte residents were killed after a single engine plane crashed a mile north of the Brookings airport. 

Emergency personnel responded to the scene at around 4:15 Thursday afternoon near Henderson Road.

The plane is reportedly a Vans RV8.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
