EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- A nine-year-old boy is dead after having a medical emergency at a swimming pool at the Carson Mansion in Eureka.

This happened on Saturday at about 5 in the evening at the Ingomar Club swimming pool.

Personnel from Humboldt Bay Fire Department, Eureka Police, and Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the call.

The boy was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
