Body Identified as Missing Eureka Man
A body that was found earlier this month has been identified as a missing Eureka man.
According to the Humboldt County Coroner’s Office, John Knott was reported missing on June 26th. According to the missing person’s report, Knott was known to lead a transient lifestyle.
The office states a passerby found Knott’s body on July 5th.
They identified his remains through dental records and believe he was deceased for about a week before his body was found on Tydd Street in Eureka.
The details surrounding his death are still under investigation.
