Fire officials are saying the wildfire burned over 1,600 acres of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The U.S. Forest Service says there have been 3 reported injuries, and at least 50 structures threatened by the fire -- with zero damaged. Highway 299 is now open to drivers in both-directions, as a pilot car is no longer necessary. Still, drivers are advised to drive cautiously and observe traffic warning signs, since the risk of traffic obstructions is still present in the aftermath of the fire. It’s estimated the wildfire caused 3.2 million dollars worth of damage.
