HUMBOLDT COUNTY FAIR BOARD TO MEET IN LARGER VENUE FOR MEETING MONDAY
A change of venue has been decided on for Monday’s Humboldt County Fair Board Meeting, as a larger crowd is anticipated for public comment after the controversy over the fair General Manager position.
Fair board president John Burger has moved the meeting from it’s regular meeting location to “CJ’s Turf Club,” the building just past the east end of the grandstand on the fairgrounds in Ferndale. Topping off Monday’s agenda: a public comment period, then the board is set to discuss in closed session the quote “appointment, employment, evaluation of performance, discipline, or dismissal of general manager.”
Current fair general manager Stuart Titus’ contract was not renewed this month after 22-years of service and to some outcry from the fair community. The board will have signage up to direct the public to the new meeting location on Monday night.
