ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE:  KIEM-TV is looking for an account executive. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of outside sales experience, is outgoing, creative and persistent.  Prior experience in media sales is a plus.  The account executive calls on accounts in Humboldt and Del Norte counties and so must have reliable transportation.
A KIEM-TV Account Executive is responsible for maintaining an assigned list of accounts plus developing new accounts as prospected or assigned.  After the initial 6-month training period, the station compensation plan is based upon a draw against commission.  This means that account executives can in fact, regardless of general economic conditions, the market size, and competitive conditions, earn directly in proportion to their developed sales skills, planning, organizational ability, and hard work.
Hours:  AE's are expected to be at work promptly at 8am Monday through Friday, attend the weekly sales meeting, set up appointments and do other necessary paper work until 9:30am at which time they should go out into the field to make sales calls, returning at 4pm to take care of other account related details.
