The City of Arcata's contract with the Arcata Police Department is expected to be approved by the city council at Wednesday's meeting. The contract agreement between the city and the police association will provide staff with a salary increase over the next two years.

 

Under the negotiated terms a salary increase of 1.5 percent will start retroactively from July 1st of this year...

WEAVERVILLE- Officials are trying to track down two teens that escaped from the Trinity County Juvenile Hall. According to the Trinity County Chief Probation Officer Terry Lee, the teenagers escaped around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after scaling a perimeter fence in and outdoor recreation area.
