A treasure trove of alleged stolen items have been found after officers with the eureka police department conducted a stolen property search at a home on the 700-block of California Street. After discussing combining the three stations Arcata Fire Protection District will upgrade and modernize their Arcata and McKinleyville station. The estimated two million dollar project will be funded entirely by money the department already has.

The unofficial results for the runoff elections for the East District show Laura A. Borden leading Lyle. L. McKinnon, Sr. by 36 votes. The runoff election was held on Wednesday.


The other candidates that won the previous elections have already been sworn in. Election results will be finalized on Nov. 12th, and the winner will be sworn in on Nov. 20.
