LOLETA- A car crash ends in foot pursuit and lands three people at Redwood Memorial Hospital Tuesday night. It happened northbound Highway 101 around 3 p.m. when officers said Ronald Owings, 57 of Eureka was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck when for unknown reasons veered off the side of the road and crashed down a steep embankment.

CHP says a vehicle pursuit ended in a crash on northbound Hwy 101 at Loleta Drive. According to witnesses the car went off the side of the road down an embankment. Officers say three suspects took off on foot until they were caught shortly after. All three taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

An early morning earthquake shakes the North Coast. The 4.2 quake struck at 5:28 a.m. Tuesday and was centered 17 miles north-west of Ferndale.

The photo is the seismogram recorded at Berkley’s Jacoby Creek Station near Arcata.

According to the redwood coast tsunami work group at Humboldt State University, there is no tsunami danger.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- The Eureka Police Department is training business owners and their employees to be compliant with alcohol licenses in Humboldt County. The department hosted a training seminar presented by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

BLUE LAKE- The Board of Supervisors will decide at Tuesday's meeting whether or not they will help to fund the levee in Blue Lakes certification required by the federal government. If the levee is not certified residents in Blue Lake will have to purchase flood insurance.
