FORTUNA - Local kids were having a blast at the annual Children’s Games as part of Fortuna Rodeo Week.

EUREKA  - Humboldt Bay Fire was busy with yet another fire late Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:45, firefighters were called to the foot of Del Norte Street and a vegetation fire in progress. Authorities believe it was intentionally set.

Although no structures were damaged, a 50 by 50 foot patch of the greenbelt was burned.

EUREKA - A longtime Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Investigator is retiring from full-time duties with the department. Tuesday morning, Todd Fulton was presented with a resolution from the board of supervisors celebrating his service. Fulton has given over 14 years to the sheriff’s office.
