EUREKA - Continuing a crackdown on illegal camping in Old Town,  Eureka Police and Public Works are asking for a change in parking regulations.

Spaces along 3rd between Commercial and A Streets are currently designated 24 hour parking, making it easier for cars and people to congregate during the day and camp overnight.

The departments are asking that time be limited to two hours...

EUREKA - Eureka Police Chief Andrew Mills has made it official. His last day will be July 21st.

Mills announced his departure last month and finalized his move to Santa Cruz Police Department following a background check.

GARBERVILLE - A Louisiana man was airlifted to the hospital after he crashed an ATV, and CHP says alcohol was a factor.

Just before 6:00 Monday, 34-year old Duane McDermott of New Orleans was riding the off road vehicle on private property outside of Garberville on Andy Lane.

EUREKA - A group of neighbors in West Eureka will have to start from scratch in their legal action against Floyd and Betty Squires. The case will now be heard in Humboldt Superior Court.
