For Charlotte and Jupe Holt, 2215 Kenmar Road is home— but for the community, visiting the house is a holiday tradition.

Governor Jerry Brown has pardoned a North Coast woman for a crime she committed in Humboldt County 18 years ago.

Brown issued 127 pardons on Christmas Eve mostly for drug related crimes. However, Arlette Adelle Wendlandt was pardoned for a burglary that she committed in 1995.

The pardon states that Wendlandt burglarized a home and took food to feed her children. She was sentenced...

It’s a busy time of the year. People are caught up in the holidays and the Northern  California Blood Bank wants to remind everyone this is the time of year when their donations go down.  There is a vital need to keep blood supplies up.  It takes about forty five minutes and there is a satisfaction that many donors say comes from giving.

The Eureka man who allegedly stabbed his dog last week plead “not guilty” today to felony animal cruelty charges.

There are roughly 400,000 high school cheerleaders in the United States. Shelby Sobol was one of 600 chosen to perform in this year’s Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.

NORTH COAST- A 4.1 earthquake hit the North Coast early Tuesday morning and it is the second quake within a one week period that has reached a 4.1 magnitude or higher.
According to the USGS the quake hit just 28 miles west of Ferndale and 39 miles west southwest of Eureka. It was originally reported as a magnitude 4.3 quake and then downgraded shortly after....

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- Flights out of the Arcata/Eureka airport are booked as people travel outside the area for the holidays. Airport staff said flights were booked all day on the two days before Christmas.
