MCKINLEYVILLE- Over the next three years all water meters in McKinleyville will be converted to smart meters. The smart meters will be able to be read remotely through a laptop and give more information on usage to customers.

The federal government is allowing one more day for people signing up for Obamacare. However… that’s not entirely the case for Californians— where the deadline is still today.

Covered California Officials are allowing an extra day to those who made an effort to start the application Monday. The website is dealing with huge volumes of people signing up and has had some glitches.

CRESCENT CITY- An employee at Pelican Bay State Prison was arrested on Sunday for allegedly stabbing a person in the throat. 
The stabbing happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday at Shooters Billiards and Darts in Crescent City. According to the Crescent City Police Department, the suspect is 30-year-old Matthew Honeycutt, a Correctional Officer at Pelican Bay....
