Fortuna Police have arrested a man suspected of auto theft and assault with a deadly weapon. In the course of the investigation, they also arrest two others. HUMBOLDT COUNTY- The Humboldt County Animal Shelter has raised $8,000 from the Holiday Open House to raise money for their Emergency Medical Fund. The shelter doubled the amount of money they raised last year.

ARCATA- A man is out on bail and facing molestation charges for allegedly committing lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. John Andrew Wiesendanger was arrested by Arcata Police on Friday and released the next day on $300,000 bail.

Arcata Police said they are not releasing any information as the case is still under investigation.
