A wanted felon is in custody after leading authorities on a high-speed chase. 

Around 4 Saturday afternoon, a Humboldt County Sheriffs deputy was traveling southbound on Highway 101 near the vista point in McKinleyville. It was there where he noticed a blue Ford Focus occupied by Conte Watson who had a felony warrant for his arrest.

RUTH- The Ruth Complex has burned over 3,200 acres and is 10 percent contained.

The complex is made up of four fires located south of Ruth Lake. They continue to fight the fires both on the ground and in the air.

On Sunday, fire fighters were focused on constructing and strengthening containment lines around the fires.

ORLEANS- Fire fighters have their hands full with the Orleans Complex. There is a total of 19 lightning caused fires that have scorched 5,400 acres.

The blazes are 14 percent contained. Steep terrain is making it difficult for crews to fight the fires and build containment lines. More than 600 fire fighters are on scene.

TRINIDAD - Trinidad's Memorial Lighthouse needs to move or it may crumble in to the ocean, but it won't be cheap.

Called a beloved but endangered icon, the ground beneath the Memorial Lighthouse started to slide in March, following a very rainy winter.
