The Humboldt County Coroner's Office has confirmed that Jesse Alvin Ruiz, 24 years old of Trinidad died from stab wounds. 
Larry Morrow who was arrested last Friday in connection to the homicide is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.

The Red Wildland Fire burning near the Snow Camp area is 100 percent contained. Plus, high surf advisory has the Coast Guard urging residents to stay out of the water this weekend. Also, local volunteer fire fighters participate in the North Bay Fire Academy.

It’s been a week since the Red Wildland Fire started in the Snow Camp area of Humboldt County. According to Calfire officials as of Friday night the blaze is completely under control, and burned a total of 333 acres.
The fire was expected to be contained by Sunday, but thanks to the recent rainfall fire crews were able to get a better hold on the blaze.

A Bay Area man wanted in San Jose for suspicion of homicide has been arrested in Fortuna. 21-year old Andrew Daniel Rodriquez, of San Jose was wanted in the shooting death of a San Jose teen.
