EUREKA- The grassroots group looking to solve methamphetamine problems in Humboldt County have been awarded a $2,000 grant. The money was donated to the group from the Humboldt Area Foundation to start up their organization.

MCKINLEYVILLE- A man threatened to pepper spray another man in the Kmart parking lot in Mckinleyville. Just before 1:30 Monday afternoon, Arcata police say a couple in their car were approached by another man and woman who demanded money and threatened to pepper spray the male victim.
