EUREKA – An alleged disgruntled tenant threatens to blow up a building in downtown Eureka..

Tuesday morning around 10:45 officers responded to an apartment building on the 300-block of E Street. Police say a man barricaded himself in his room and threatened to detonate an explosive device. Several residents on the fourth floor of the building were evacuated.

EUREKA - In an effort to become ADA compliant, Lafayette Elementary School has major construction going on, with more to start Wednesday.

Right now construction crews are at the school adding ramps and making improvements.

Wednesday, they will be adding more sidewalks and curb ramps to “encourage students to walk to school.”
