EUREKA- Some changes are coming to the City of Eureka.  While crafting the 2013/2014 budget, council members decided they could improve efficiency by combining two commissions.

The Eureka City Council has adopted an ordinance that will combine the Parking Place Commission and the Transportation Safety Commission.  These are the first two agencies to merge under the new initiative....

FORT BRAGG – A Mendocino County Sheriff’s deputy was shot and killed Wednesday following a police chase. The suspect is also dead.

EUREKA- The Humboldt Senior Resource Center has helped deliver five square meals a week the seniors living in Eureka. On Wednesday, representatives from St. Joseph's Hospital helped to deliver those meals.

EUREKA- A local army veteran is concerned with upcoming changes to his military health plan. 

TRICARE, a national military health plan, will no longer be offering their walk-in services starting April 1st.  They will still be able to provide services with their phone numbers and website, but one veteran who lives in Eureka says things have been made more difficult for America’s heroes...

EUREKA- The Eureka City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve the second draft letter of apology for the 1860 Wiyot Massacre that resulted in the deaths of 200 people.

UPDATE- The Humboldt County Coroner’s Office told News Channel 3 Tuesday, that 44-year-old Westley Wright died as a result of an accidental drug overdose. Wright was the man accused of stabbing his own dog with a knife back in December of 2013.

EUREKA- California Department of Fish and Wildlife crews prepared for an oil spill on Humboldt Bay Tuesday.
