Del Norte - A motorcyclist is injured after he drives off an embankment in Del Norte County. It happened just after five this evening on Highway 199. The CHP says a man for an unknown reason lost control of his motorcycle and crashed down an embankment. he was airlifted to an Oregon hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

EUREKA- No cuts will be made to Humboldt County departments next year according to the Board of Supervisors.

The supervisors will approve their 2014-2015 fiscal year budget at a meeting on Tuesday.

REDCREST- An Arcata woman died as a result of a fatal traffic collision on highway 101 where the driver was allegedly under the influence. The Humboldt Coroner's Office has released her name as 26-year-old Camille Louise Rand.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Rand was the passenger of a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Both passengers and the driver were not wearing seat belts....
